Her instructions for getting the photo ready didn't work for me--I think she has The Real Photoshop, when I have just the elements. But I was able to figure out the steps, and I think it'll work if I can just figure out which photos are the best. High contrast, I'm thinking.
Then there's this--our weird neighbor's house in the midst of what I believe is a huge mistake (she lived there, she left, she leased it, they trashed it, she came back, she had it fixed up, she doesn't know what she's going to do with it, she had it painted this hideous baby diarrhea color):
All I have to say is: Why not pink?
And here's The Princess herself, the one I terrorized last night, assuring us that yes, indeed, she could use the old laptop if we'd just open the top for her. I'm sure she could--she's very bright. She'd be writing letters to the SPCA every day.

I like the stencil! Do you use an Exacto knife for cutting the stencils or a stencil burner? I'm wondering if you have any recommendations for an Exacto handle that's easy on the hands. Thanks!
oh, the stenciling is a great idea!
as for the baby diarrhea color, boy i'm glad i didn't read this post before breakfast...
i use an x-acto, even though i suck at it. and i have one with a rubber grip--check here:
http://www.xacto.com/ProductDetail.asp?id=167
or you could wrap something around a regular one to fashion your own grip--soft foam, maybe? with athletic tape or first aid tape? something soft--
Love your stencil, if you check on YouTube there are loads more tutes on how to make a stencil from a photo. There's a way to do it in Photoshop too, check out ThreadBanger for the video and I think there's an etsy one too, I'll see if I can find it and send it to you. I'm obsessed with making clothing out of old t-shirts. I'll be making more this weekend after I finish a baby quilt.
Just curious, are these the rabbit people who just left?
Cam
boy, howdy, i wish it were the rabbit people. they'll NEVER leave: the woman who lives there--when we moved in, her grandmother lived there. now she and her son and grandson live there, and i'm sure it's paid for. so we've seen 5 generations of white trash in the less than 20 years we've lived here. aieeeeee.
