Anyway. So I bought this
from Carol Anderson, with the plan to offer it here and provide a link to Carol’s website so you could go look at more. Alas, there is no website. Or, if there is, there’s nothing on it. Which reminds me that I probably need to do another of my posts about Why Artists Have to Have a Website.
She gave me her e-mail address, but I can’t read it. Maybe she’ll post it in the comments. Hey, Carol!
Sorry the images aren’t larger—I scanned it, rather than photographing it, and this is as large as they can be.
I love those photos of kids on horses or donkeys. This one’s really cool.
The front:
The back:
Or vice versa.
Post a comment if you’d like your own little bit of Texas. And come back in a minute—I’ve got another little give-away this week but don’t have photos yet--

Ah that brings back memories. I have a similar photo of myself as a kid on a pony. Some guy came through the neighborhood with his pony offering to take pictures (for a price I'm sure). It's one of my favorite photos.
I had a picture of myself like that when I was about 3 years old. Memories! I love pictures like that!
Oh, MY!
How perfect!
Even though I won awhile back, please enter me again! I'm working on a series of cowgirl/cowboy wallhangings and this would fit in perfectly!
...and if you ever find her address/website, try to remember to post it - I'd love to contact her!

Oh, I would just love that necklace! Reminds me of being horse crazy as a youngster. I drove my parents right over the edge to where they finally got me my own horse @ 9. It was the best!
I found your website in another blog. How lucky am I today!? I am a fiber artist who lives in Chicago but left her heart in Montana. I am working on a series of pieces that includes horse and cowboys.. Would love to win your great give a way for inspiration.
Come see me at my blog (if you wish)

i've a photo of older brothers sitting on a donkey when they were young lads living in Ireland. i will add this to 'what to do with this" list. great-nieces might enjoy having something of their granddad...
So cute. I understand there were travelling photographers who toured nieghborhoods. I have one of me c age 3-4 dressed as a cow girl on a very patient pony just outside our house. The pony would have had to clkimb about 12 steps to get there. I guess there must have been alot of travelling photographers at the time.
This isn't an entry, just a comment.
I love Texas! Seems to me there is more creativity in Texas than the rest of the states combined. I do agree that artists must have websites. A perfect tool for getting the word out and contact purposes. My hubs cousin does wonderful work but never updates her site. (like 2 years of no updates) We tell her she would be amazed at how much more traffic she would have, but alas she just doesn't do it.
I would wear this pendant in honor of my inner cowgirl! Doesn't everyone have one?
That's a neat necklace. Ahh Texas- been to Amarillo and down by boarder. I think my favorite city is San Antonio- the river walk. Brings back memories of Air Force Basic Training. Liberty after 5 weeks - freedom was great!
love the riders. and sorry if you've received weird email from me--i was phished (am phishing?) and currently have no working personal email. this totally sucks.
ah, velma--that DOES suck. sorry you got phished. and by someone who can't Do English, too. man: talk about insults!
This is a beautiful little pendant. I wonder if blogs are taking the place of websites??I'm working on a website for myself but learning how at the same time makes it slowwwwww...
