And I’m not keeping stuff I don’t love. This was an experiment in working with flannel: stamping on flannel, embroidering flannel, layering flannel. It was fun, and it turned out OK. But the fuzziness of the stamping has always bothered me. While I like doing the voodoo dolls out of flannel sometimes, I have no desire to stamp on flannel pretty much ever again. And so I don’t want to keep it around, either, looking all fuzzy and irritating me.
The eyes have been removed for another project. Other than that, this is what it looks like, complete with channeling from Mama Goode.
Post a comment. I’m going to pick on Thursday and try to ship this baby out before we leave—I hate having loose ends waiting on me when I get back from traveling.

Aiiiii! It is impaling me with its blindly staring eyes! It knows the secret of my childhood undressing of Barbie dolls, and it is snickering! But in a nice way, since it's a benign voodoo doll.
By the way, is this a boy or a girl voodoo doll? Do voodoo dolls have genders? How can one tell? Are the fuzzy bits of flannel akin to voodoo doll pheremones? Perhaps it is simply in heat, on the edge of pon farr?
Please come live with me, little voodoo doll. I have an alien hand puppet, also of indeterminate gender, which would find you most attractive. You could hang out and do felty linty things together.
My Sweet Friend Rice(on the IPod, so I can't spell your name properly!)-- I know that I have already won the beautiful journal; but my Mom needs special Voo-Doo and sacred juju as she was just diagnosed with breast cancer. To top this off, she's visiting from Florida & just lost her credit card. All of the proper things have been done, she will get a new one shortly. But, Rice, that was just one more straw on her back. So, please, even if we don't win your gorgeous art, send some glorious healing mojo to Mom.

As a knitter and a spinner, fuzzy things are welcome here, especially fuzzy voodoo dolls. Besides we could use a little voodoo protection around here.
I love this, I don't think it's too fuzzy, that's what gives it character...or maybe I'm just fuzzy myself. :)
Ooh...I would frame him and put him above my Rottweiler's bed (next to my bed where he sleeps). Boo-Boo needs some voodoo(cafe) healing for his sprained leg.
I love this and I also love your blog. It is after midnight in Locust Fork, Alabama and I am sitting here working on my blog www.welovequilting.com/blog and decided to read some of your blog. I have you listed on my favorite blogs on the site. Mine and my husband The HOT Gary I love the way you call your husband EGE... well we had our anniversary (22) on the 12th. Congrats on yours and thank you for your great stories. You story of your husband and his puzzle "mistress" reminded me of Alan Alda and Ellen Burystn in Same Time Next Year. I hope I spelled Ellen's name correct.
