Yes, we made it home. Last night, in fact. Two full weeks on the road = plenty for me. I have things to tell you, if I don’t forget, and maybe things to show you, if the photos turn out (remember: my little camera got its display shattered, and I have no idea what else happened in there). I have the story of The Demise of the Hotel St. Francis, which used to be one of our two favorite hotels but now totally sucks—I’ll be telling you all about that soon: it was disappointing in every way (to wit: not just one but TWO visits to the “front desk” to complain. Yes!)
Today was supposed to be the day the roofers and siding guys and window installers came, but it’s cloudy, and apparently it rained here all weekend, and I have to call and find out what’s going to happen. Then, this afternoon, I’m supposed to get new internet service—clearwire has just fallen apart and has gotten so incredibly slow I might as well be on dial-up. So there are sure to be stories. But first I have to do the laundry and some exercises and take a lot of walks to get rid of the two pounds I gained on the road, what with all the chocolate. Oy. I hate that.
Check back later for this week’s give away--

Welcome home and thanks for taking me along!!!!!
I'm glad you made it home safe and sound!
I hope that the road trip overall was more fun than frustration, and that you had an enjoyable vacation, and some happy memories of places you saw and folks with whom you connected. I first wrote "connected with" and then corrected it ;-)
It's always disappointing when a favorite place changes for the worse, especially when you are so looking forward to spending time there again. Sorry the St. Francis turned sucky!
I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures of the trip!
Welcome Home!
