My name rhymes with "Lisa," I live in Midland, Texas, because it's warm and the mortgage is cheap, and of course this is my natural hair color. Of course! The EGE--The Ever-Gorgeous Earl--is my husband of 35 years. I have the best job in the world because I get to call up artists and ask them nosy questions and then write about them. I also stitch, podcast, blog, and then, in my spare time, do it all some more.

Rocket Pig: Dreadfully Cute Pig Video. Beware!

Y’all know my friend Wendy, in Austin. This is a video made by her Best Friend From High School, videoing her new baby pig, Rocket Pig. I don’t know any pigs, other than the one that bit me when I was a kid, but I’m ready to go out and adopt one after watching this. So beware:  you’ll find yourself sinking quick when he runs around in circles in pure Baby Pig Joy. Geez. Rampant cuteness.

Lovely pig. They are more clever than dogs.

I suspect he will grow quite large.

What is his eventual destiny? Will he be a neutered pet?

If not, naming him could make the slaughtering more difficult.

Sadly, cute little pigs like Rocket Pig grow up to be huge and not always good house pets. Love 'em when they're this size though.

It appears that Rocket Pig is a Vietnamese Pot-Belly. They are sold as pets, not food animals. Yes, they wag their tails just like dogs, and unlike farm pigs, their tails are straight. They are way smarter than dogs. My Stella Dora vonSwineburg is 200 pounds, she is a big girl for a pot belly. She's lived in the house with me for 6 years and she has never once left the seat up lol!

OMG!!! That is the CUTEST little pig I have ever seen. I would seriously get one if I could convince the husband...and I have tried. Totally adorable. Reminds me of my bullie girl Beula Belle. She is as close to a piggy as I will get. One of her nicknames is Pork Cutlet.
