My Photo
Midland, Texas, United States
My name rhymes with "Lisa," I live in Midland, Texas, because it's warm and the mortgage is cheap, and of course this is my natural hair color. Of course! The EGE--The Ever-Gorgeous Earl--is my husband of 35 years. I have the best job in the world because I get to call up artists and ask them nosy questions and then write about them. I also stitch, podcast, blog, and then, in my spare time, do it all some more.

Something Fun for You to Do

Need a little Project Runway challenge? While I’ve never actually watched Project Runway, since I, um, don’t actually watch tv (except, of course, while traveling and watching Every. Single. Thing. About. Michael. Jackson. Forever.), I think everyone else on the planet watches it. If you’re one of them, this will make you very happy, indeed.

A while back, Peggy Gatto posted a photo of her mom and some friends modeling evening wear they created from newspapers (cocktails were involved).

You can see the full photo on her blog. People loved it, and Peggy thought it would be fun to have a contest and get people to create their own newspaper couture. Go here to find out all about it. Then save those newspapers and get busy!

I noticed your new book can be preordered. I will post the info on the blog, anything else?

Somehow this reminds me of that god-awful game at some wedding showers. You know, make a gown out of toilet paper?
