My name rhymes with "Lisa,"
I live in Midland, Texas, because it's warm
and the mortgage is cheap,
and of course this is my natural hair color. Of course!
The EGE--The Ever-Gorgeous Earl--is my husband of 35 years.
I have the best job in the world
because I get to call up artists
and ask them nosy questions
and then write about them.
I also stitch, podcast, blog, and then, in my spare time, do it all some more.
I can't believe it: FedEx. On a Saturday. The advance copy of MY NEW BOOK! In between the hammering, much squealing. Yowza! Only about 6 weeks until it's everywhere.
Just a note to tell you how much I enjoy reading your Blog. Congrats on receiving the advanced copy of your book!!! "Living the Creative Life" is one of my favorite books and I can't wait to get your new one. Emie
Rice, Are you selling it direct? Or is amazon the best bet? I know it's the best price, but I'd rather get it from you and have you get the full price. Support your artist/author and all that, you know. But if direct sales give you hives and screaming meemies (it would do me in!), I'll go to amazon. Can't wait to see the studio. Haven't given in to the Facebook/Twitter sirens yet. Kathy
Thanks for asking--no plans to sell it unless we travel to an event. But if you go to amazon.com via that link on my sidebar, I get a % as The Author/Associate. Or something.
I'm looking forward to getting this book, especially if we ever get settled and I get to set up a sewing room. I have such admiration for you creative-type people.
Oops, I should have signed in on my other Google account when I left that comment about admiring you creative-type people. Not sure if you would know who that was from (or does it matter?).

CAN'T WAIT!! Seriously it must be super awesome to have it in your hot little hands, eh?!
Hooray! Congratulations!
Um, I hope that giving birth to it wasn't too traumatic what with the pointy corners and all.
Congrats! That's a good way to take a break from working on your studio.
Big Congrats! Your posts actually drove me to Twitter for the first time... I'd been resisting that place but for you?...of course!
