Meet my friend and neighbor, Robert.
[Can you tell he’s a long-time cast member in Midland’s Summer Mummers?]
He lives exactly one block north of us and so very kindly makes the trek around the corner to our house to bring us our mis-delivered mail.
If he weren’t so incredibly busy, I could have asked Robert to write a little something about Time & Space, like, you know, an explanation of Einstein’s theory of special relativity translated to something the rest of us could understand, like in Fewer Than 100 Words. No problem, because Robert is excellent at explaining things in ways that make them not only understandable but also absolutely fascinating.
Because in addition to his regular job, he’s on the board of Mensa, which is how I met him. His official title is Permian Basin Mensa Proctor Coordinator, Program Chair, Executive Committee, which is cool. I’ve added him to my list of People Who Can Answer Anything—you know, the people you go to when you have a question about something obscure and just don’t really want to put your trust in Wikipedia. He’s a really nice guy who’s amazing to talk to.
And a lot of fun.
Thanks, Robert!

Hi Robert what did you see and on what page? I want to see it too. My books just arrived; one will be a holiday gift for a frind...
I just got home from a loooong day of teaching and guess what I found on my doorstep??? Your book--Creative Time and Space. Now I'm not going to want to get up and teach dosage calculation for a very different reason. I'll want to be holed up in bed with a copy of your book. Well, I only have to teach until noon tomorrow and then I'm going to fly out of the door before any one knows that I've even been there besides the students, and take the book on a very creative little drive and perhaps even out to lunch where I will be sure to display it prominently and tell everyone within hearing distance that they must purchase the book at once!
Love these pics!
