I’m always trying out new ways of doing the To-Do List Thang, and this is the one I’m trying this weekend. The washer and dryer are out here in the studio, which makes sense, since it’s where I dye stuff. I do yoga right next to them and was thinking how boring it is to have to look at that large expanse of white. White! Eeeeeeek! That’s not something you see a lot of in THIS house. (I had a lot of cartoons and stuff stuck all over the old washer and dryer but haven’t put much on these yet—they’re still all New and stuff). I realized that, since I look at these a LOT every evening, it was the perfect place to put reminders:
As I do the various tasks, I can remove the notes (remember that I scored a ton of these sticky notes on clearance for mere pennies, so it’s not like I had to go buy something or like they cost a lot of money—you could use scrap paper and tape just as easily) and, if I want to keep track of what I’ve accomplished, stick them in my journal or on the calendar. Or just recycle them.
Anyway, it’s making me feel happy and productive, and that’s A Very Good Thing.
