Midland, Texas, United States
My name rhymes with "Lisa," I live in Midland, Texas, because it's warm and the mortgage is cheap, and of course this is my natural hair color. Of course! The EGE--The Ever-Gorgeous Earl--is my husband of 35 years. I have the best job in the world because I get to call up artists and ask them nosy questions and then write about them. I also stitch, podcast, blog, and then, in my spare time, do it all some more.

Way More Fun Than You Can Stand!

Better than surfing! Better than TV! Better than sex!

Well, OK, two out of three = nothing to sneer at.

I love Couturious. You pick out a model, pick out a background, and then start designing outfits. You click something to put it on the model, and then you can hover over it, once it's on her, and you have choices:  "untuck pants from boots," for example. Or "remove from look," or "shop," with a link to where you can buy whatever-it-is.

You can try really outrageous combinations, just for fun. Or you can find something you have in your closet and try it with various things to see how you might want to wear it--like those problematic ankle boots I've got in there. That's not only lots of fun, but helpful in letting you get some idea of what you might want to look for when you venture out into the world of shopping. Or before you order online.

Too bad all the models are about 15. They do have body shape choices, so that's good. Most of the clothes are things I'd never wear, but you can kind of squint and get an idea of shape and volume. Plus it's just fun, like paper dolls but without having to cut out every single outfit.

Now if they'd just fix it so you could change the color of every item, and the hairstyle of the model, and the age, AND--omigod!--if you could superimpose your own face, so you could see how it would look on you! Wouldn't that be cool? Who knows--maybe updates are happening even now~~

Go have funhttp://www.couturious.com/!

That is SO fun!! I love it! It definitely needs older-looking models, though. :)

The body shape button didn't work for me alas. I'll bet their full-figured people look normal to me anyway.

Color changes would be very good. Black no longer suits me as a color and that is what most of their basics are.

It may be that what is essentially a shopping mechanism, it would be too expensive to have all the colours and shape options. They would have to change the garment shapes too of course.

I love this. I just wanted to check the blog updates and ended up playing with this site for two hours. A new addiction in the making?
