Today's Cold Weather Studio Wear:
I cheated and use PhotoBooth, but, hey! At least I got a photo, right?
Green corduroy leggings from Hue on sale (Dillard's has these now for $9.99, if you want to give them a try). Dyed green socks with acrylic socks over them. $2 skirt from the thrift, dyed in acid green. Cotton shirt, dyed (bought new and on sale from The Dreaded Wal-Mart or Penny's, I can't remember). $2 sweater that was apple-ish green and got dyed in either acid green or golden yellow (which is enough to perk up a sickly pale green on its own). I ♥ Studio Sweaters!
I'm not sure about this skirt--which is why I'm wearing it today. I may re-donate it if I don't fall in love with it. I don't like the brownish bits--I'm not into brown clothes--and it has--gasp!--no pockets, which is just stupid. But it's full, so I can sit cross-legged in it (a BIG deal for my clothes), and it has an underskirt so it's 1) warm-ish and 2) not sticking to my leggings. So we'll see about it--I have no idea what's up, but I've gotten a TON of green stuff lately--5 green skirts, just here in the last month or so. Maybe someone who loves green best of all cleaned out her closet, you think?
If this PhotoBooth photo works for you, I'll try to keep doing this. To use the other camera, I have to take the tripod plate off the video camera, put it on the digital camera, attach the plate to the tripod--you get the idea. And I'm lazy and don't like to spend the time to do that. I need to find the other tripod that doesn't make me jump through hoops to use it, but it's in The EGE's study, and that's a scary, scary place to hunt for stuff. Yiiiii~~

The photobooth picture is absolutely fine! Please persist.
I like the skirt. I also love bright colours and am not fond of brown, but the occasional bits can offset the other colours nicely. I am loving all the green. I wish I could wear yellow-greens but anything leaning towards yellow looks disgusting on me. (or, more accurately I look disgusting, not the clothes. Olive skin tones.)
Fantastic news!!! I have discovered how to put pockets in everything! Well, skirts and dresses. We are talking inseam pockets. This is going to change what I wear. I will put it in my next post.
I love the skirt! If I were anywhere near your size, I'd beg you for it, LOL!
The picture works fine this way, don't know why you would bother with the tripod and camera. There are already too few hours in the day.
I'm going to Zom's blog to see about putting pockets in ... ;^)
Love the pattern on the skirt - could you take one of those handy bleach pens to it? Or do some sort of resist? It actually looked purple when I looked at it at first.
Your knack for pairing things is amazing. I'd walk around in a burlap bag if I could, I have very little know-how when it comes to clothing. :)
Brent, it is a kind of purple-y-brownish color. Very odd. I still don't know if I like it or not. I think it looks sort of frumpy, but The EGE says it's fine (although I'm not sure that he, as a guy, gets the concept of "frumpiness"). It is full, so I can sit cross-legged, and it does have some stretch, so it's really comfortable. I think I'll keep it until the weather warms up and I can see what it's like without the leggings. If it's mid-knee or longer, it may be OK.
I kinda like the purply-browny color in the skirt, since it breaks up all that green. Not sure about the frump-factor though. Doesn't strike me right off as looking frumpish, but that's a pretty subjective thing. If you feel frumpish, then you won't wear it.
Exactly! Frumpiness is Subjective. That sounds like a title for something--
I'm loving the green vibe. Looks pretty and funky all at the same time.
