I met Jen at Art Unraveled in Phoenix last year, and I loved her right away. I love her energy and enthusiasm and ideas. So I was thrilled when I got to work with her over at CreateMixedMedia.com. She knows a ton of stuff about social media and marketing, and since so many people want to know more about that, I snagged her for a conversation about Facebook and Twitter and all things social media.
As always, you can listen here, over at CMM, on iTunes via "Notes from the Voodoo Lounge," or over there in the sidebar.
And I think I'm going to quit listing all those because, you know: whew.

What a wonderful podcast. I've learned so much and I've been able to link it to a few friends who are Artists. Thanks!
Thanks so much for listening and for helping spread Jen's great advice!
Oh! I can't wait to hear this! Just got home for a long evening working, Austin going nuts for sxsw. Feel like dead. Bed waiting! XO.
Notes I took while listening to this: on FB, you can keep all tagged photos private to yourself (go to privacy). But having the fan page is definitely smarter. Just post a widget over your website with the fan page profile. I'm honestly considering doing it cause I'm a writer, a musician, a crafter, an illustrator. So all these people I befriended on FB mostly don't have the same thing in common.
Then, I write Erotica, and I don't want any of my readers to have access to my personal life, right? So I opened a FB fan page under the name of my Erotica blog. Only that when I think of doing that for every other thing I do, I go nuts and better forget about it. It's too much to keep up with. I get to a point where I want to give up and just keep doing 2 things but I really don't have the desire, I can't live without those activities. (I think that this information era is too crazy for me!) So we still have to stick to the old fashioned ways for certain things: if you're a fiction writer open a blog only if you can commit to one post a week or a regular basis, or a fan page if you only want to keep people informed on your books or related projects coming, reviews etc.
Reason why, all of a sudden, I kept thousands of photos on my flickr as private is because I feel like I'm losing privacy. I'm too paranoid sometimes.
This podcast was fabulous, now I have enough things to think about in the next week!
PS. Ricë, the word verification to post a comment to your blog is always incredibly funny. Today is hatiest.
Oh, I want a job thinking up those words, don't you? Hatiest is the best for the week, for sure~~
I want a job thinking of names of ice cream.
Cos you'd have to taste them first, right? Oh, yeah.
