My Photo
Midland, Texas, United States
My name rhymes with "Lisa," I live in Midland, Texas, because it's warm and the mortgage is cheap, and of course this is my natural hair color. Of course! The EGE--The Ever-Gorgeous Earl--is my husband of 35 years. I have the best job in the world because I get to call up artists and ask them nosy questions and then write about them. I also stitch, podcast, blog, and then, in my spare time, do it all some more.

I Made Another One!

I was going to title it "I Made #2!" but I thought it would make all the mommies shudder, so I didn't. I made another whatever-they-are--I don't even know what to call them. Anyway, I blogged about it over at CreateMixedMedia.com. You can see a couple photos here. I'm working now on #3, and I guess it will be safe to title that post "I Made #3!" unless there's something I'm missing, not having ever toilet-trained anyone.

Hope y'all are all having a good Monday. I'm trying to clean out my inbox, start a profile, and prepare for a podcast this afternoon, when what I really want to be doing today is sewing. It's why I don't get into these series:  I get obsessed (and isn't THAT a surprise, hmmmmm?) and don't want to do anything else until I'm completely burnt out. With this, it's until I run out of linen. Then I can quit. I figure I've got about three more before that happens, not counting the one I'm working on right now. I have to change each one up a little, give myself another challenge. So stay tuned--I want to get this out of my system and clean up the mess before we leave for the bead show. Yeah. I'm so sure THAT'S going to happen. . . .

I think the yellow and orange one is more successful because the colors jump around the composition - giving you some repetition and cohesiveness. The green one doesn't give me that feeling.

Love them BOTH!! Wish I could sew more than a straight line - I'd have one in purple and lavender.

What to call them? Jests - because they make you smile!

WOW. So exciting. I LOVE them. Look at the big pocket in front! *jumping up and down* (and I really do this.)
How do you do them so quickly?
Can we have more photos please?

And you are doing more? I can't wait.
My dresslet is slowly progressing. Of course I have been drawing possible sketches for my coffin lid. Did I tell you that I am painting a coffin?

Zom: No. Cool. Why?

It is a cardboard coffin for a Day of the Dead art show. I will post soon.
