My name rhymes with "Lisa," I live in Midland, Texas, because it's warm and the mortgage is cheap, and of course this is my natural hair color. Of course! The EGE--The Ever-Gorgeous Earl--is my husband of 35 years. I have the best job in the world because I get to call up artists and ask them nosy questions and then write about them. I also stitch, podcast, blog, and then, in my spare time, do it all some more.

Podcast with Ellen & Sallianne of Art Is. . .You

In September, The Ever-Gorgeous Earl and I get to go to Petaluma, California, to Art Is. . .You, a much-loved art retreat making its debut on the West Coast after five very popular years on the East Coast. I wanted to know more about the event and about the organizers who'll be our hosts, so I called up Ellen and Sallianne, with her fabulous Australian accent, and asked them about their labor of love.
You can find out more about all their retreats, including the one next year in Australia, by going to their website, here.

Then settle back and listen to Ellen and Sallianne:

What a wonderful interview!! Art is....You is truly everything Ellen and Sal talk about. You laugh, you cry, you learn, you grow-- mentally, spiritually, and artistically. I think that is a word, but my dictionary that I use is buried under my hand dyed fabrics from a recent Homestead class! Thank you for this podcast! Colleen

I've been involved with Art is for many years and I'm so happy to see this podcast! It is a very unique retreat and I love being an instructor for them. You will have a wonderful time in Petaluma with the Art is family and Earle, of course, will be a big hit!

The interview was fantastic! When you experience Art Is prepare to welcome your extended family because that's what will happen. You will never stop talking about it again! Sallianne and Ellen are the most special people I have ever met! Now we are sisters and we have gone beyond becoming family! I have been to every retreat and at the end there is nothing to do but start preparing for the next one! Art Is You!!!
