Sharilyn was my very first editor at Somerset Studio, back when she was Editor-in-Chief at Stampington and hired me to do artist profiles for Somerset and Belle Armoire and, when she started it, Art Doll Quarterly. She was at the helm for nine years, gaining amazing insight into the mixed media art world, and she's taken that with her as she's transitioned to working for herself: creating jewelry in her studio, writing, producing instructional DVD's, hosting workshops (in her gorgeous home studio, at bead shops, and abroad (France and Italy)).
Sharilyn also offers some really excellent advice to artists trying to find their way, and I think you're going to really like listening to what she has to say.
Her work is stunning, and you can see more of it on her website. Go to her blog to find out more about what's going on, including new workshops.
Tomorrow you'll be able to read her Creative Spark on my blog over at CreateMixedMedia.com, so be sure to check that out (it's not up yet but will be after midnight tonight).
And you can listen to her right here: (or, as always, by going to my page at my podcast host, over there in the sidebar)~~
