My Photo
Midland, Texas, United States
My name rhymes with "Lisa," I live in Midland, Texas, because it's warm and the mortgage is cheap, and of course this is my natural hair color. Of course! The EGE--The Ever-Gorgeous Earl--is my husband of 35 years. I have the best job in the world because I get to call up artists and ask them nosy questions and then write about them. I also stitch, podcast, blog, and then, in my spare time, do it all some more.

You Wanted More Photos? You Got 'Em!

Some people said they wish there were more photos. I made the movie short so it would load to smartphones, but, hey: why not go back and make an expanded version with even more eye candy? Why not, indeed! Here you go:

What a surprise to see my friends and I sitting at the table in the start of this video this morning! I just ordered the book, can't wait to read it! I blogged about it and added the video and a link for your book too.

Ricë: I think this is great fun. I love the map and car and plane transitions too! You guys did a lot of traveling.

I watched the long one - twice! The first time was at my friend Melissa Manley's blog - happy to see her creative talented smiling face pop up a few times! Then I cam e here. I think the film is tantalizing, its a little like an addiction fix, makes me want to go ...NOW. Nice to see people I know and love ( MElissa, Keith) and put faces to the podcasts of yours I thoroughly enjoy. No I am not trying to flatter you so I can win! Just my humble opinion...

Jenny, you know Melissa's a contributor to the book, right? She's fabulous, and she's in there!

I love the car and the map! Just saying you went here and there is all good but the map really makes the distance covered appreciable. It was a good mix of art and the people, learning and fun. The fun part really came through. Dang, I want to make it to some retreats now!

I don't know who the girl was in the picture with Jesse Reno but I want to!

That's Lana, Jesse's girlfriend. She's teaching at Art and Soul.

Great video! Love the music! You know I remember you blogging about going to all those places, but to actually see it in a video... WOW! You really did travel everywhere and can I say I am jealous!! There were some retreats that I hadnt even heard about.

BTW, I am traveling by plane tomorrow and listening to you and Mary Beth is going to be my treat. I saved it for the airplane ride.

Lastly, I remember meeting Ty & Marcia downstairs at AFF. I'd forgotten about that big yarn ball to you mentioned it in their podcast. Now I want to take their class.

I like the presentation with the plane, car and map.. Then the lady with the big eyed expression was adorable.

I will never forgive myself for not knowing you were at Birmingham one night at Whole Foods Market shopping on one of you many adventures. I would have driven over 1 hour to go there. I usually go to Whole Foods every two weeks and I look for you!! Maybe someday I will peek around the corner and see a crowd and in the middle a lady standing there with her thrift store finds all doctored up, different colored hair getting "Is that your natural color." I will part the crowd and save you from the masses. Good look on sales from this book and thanks for the give a way!

Ricë, Very upbeat video. Loved really understanding the distance covered (the map made all the difference). Love the plane and SUV and especially the motor noises at the beginning. Sound effects add so much. The video really got across how much you guys saw and covered (on the road and in the book), how much fun you have in your travels. Love the picture of you in front of the field with your iphone, the twirling dancers (backwards, too), the music. It made me smile watching it twice. You are fabulous.
