My name rhymes with "Lisa," I live in Midland, Texas, because it's warm and the mortgage is cheap, and of course this is my natural hair color. Of course! The EGE--The Ever-Gorgeous Earl--is my husband of 35 years. I have the best job in the world because I get to call up artists and ask them nosy questions and then write about them. I also stitch, podcast, blog, and then, in my spare time, do it all some more.

Friday Eye Candy

Enough whining around here already! It's Friday. We've got a book signing tomorrow at the Midland Barnes and Noble, it's cool with a teasing semi-promise of r-a-i-n (shhhhhhh--don't frighten it away!), I didn't swallow the fly that was swimming in the last gulp of coffee this morning (although I'm still a little creeped out, let me tell you--I came *that* close), and hey: you know those tiny, teeninsy little balls that screw onto the end of the piercing earrings, the ones so tiny you can hardly hold them to screw them in place? The one on my earring came loose during the night and fell out--I noticed it when I got up and looked in the mirror. Fat chance I'd find that microscopic sucker, right? Ha! There it was, lying right on my pillow--woo-hoo! You can't go wrong on a day that starts out like that~~

So, to celebrate all this--and your wonderful support--let's have something fabulous, OK? I cropped this baby a lot because I wasn't sure about, you know, a nekkid torso (totally G-rated, but still) leaping out at your when you're trying to eat your Wheaties. So here's this, instead. See why I call him "ever-gorgeous"? If only my arms looked half this fabulous~~

Nice eye candy! I's off for some eye candy of another sort today.....donkeys! Yesterday I met Snuggles and today it's Cookie. Have a wonderful weekend.

Carole, I went to your blog and, ahem: there are no donkey photos. (well, except for one of someone hidden behind a fence at Katherine Dunn's farm). How is this possible? How can you GO SEE DONKEYS and not share the love? Hmmmmm?

We'll be waiting. . . .

Kim, I'd be lucky if MY arms looked like that. Well, not exactly like that: I'd still want my tattoos. And I guess I'd look kind of freaky with muscular brown arms, seeing how the rest of me is scrawny and beyond-white. But you know: I'd like not to have that under-arm-flabbiness. No fair, the whole gender-hormone-ageing game.

Glad you're doing better.

The part of the EGE that melted me when I met him was his smile.

Yoga has done wonders for my 'arm wattles'. Low impact and there's the mental benefits as well.

Sorry, I spent the afternoon at thriftshops and didn't get them up on my blog until early this evening. Sadly, I didn't buy much.....just a scraper/brush and a dvd. Sigh.
