. . .when it was trying to sleet and snow and, no, I was *not* happy about it. But I had fun piling on the layers, as you can see:
Bryn Walker cotton fleece coat you've seen before, bought on clearance last year with an appliqué on the back from a thrifted Free People t.
New Bryn Walker (clearance, 65% off) fleece vest, just like the coat but shorter and without sleeves. And a different color. Duh. (That's like saying, "They're exactly the same, only one is smaller and a different color and makes a different noise and smells different and is heavier and speaks French, but other than that, they're IDENTICAL.")
Scarf, probably one from the street vendor in Manhattan ($5 each)--I bought every color I liked, so now it makes me happy not knowing which ones came from there and which came from somewhere else: to me, they're all From the Street in Manhattan.
This is the coatlet thing you've seen before--the one to which I added stitching and removed the hood.
Hue corduroy leggings (clearance last year) and long-sleeved t (from Penny's or The Dreaded Wal-Mart on clearance last year--I stocked up on cotton t-shirts at the end of the season when they go for $3-$7 each).
Wrist warmers (clearance this year, Dillards)
Eyebrow bling--stick-on rhinestones that make me happy but seem to drive other people (meaning: strangers who can't fathom why those things are on my face) nuts. I'm not an eyebrow person, but apparently many people are and think of The Eyebrow as some sort of sacrosanct thing not to be taken lightly or mocked in any way. Silliness.

Wardrobe envy.
Okay, now I get the outfit. No need to answer my dumb question on fb.
Love, love, love this outfit. I need about that many layers today in Phoenix! Brrrrr.
LOVE the outfit and LOVE the eyebrow bling even more!
Thank you! It was a good outfit--you know: one you like, that's comfortable, that doesn't demand anything of you (tugging or scratching or later applying bandaids), and that--very important!--keeps you warm.
The rhinestones are kewl. A mini-tiara for your eyebrow. :=)
I love the layers and the eyebrow bling. I like to layer things myself, so it's a bit like peeling an artichoke when I get indoors and need to remove a layer or two. I do love the look, and hope to be stalked by Ari Seth Cohen in 20 or 30 years. ;-)
Thanks! Patti, I think to interest Ari you're going to have to wear designer fashion. He doesn't seem to be so much into cool street style as he is vintage designers. Alas. I'd WAY rather see older people in fabulous outfits they've put together without Chanel, et al.
You look adorable! I made myself a "Katwise" coat for Artfest. I can't wait to wear it. We have had almost NO cold here so it's just sitting right now.
I can't wait to see you at the Art Is You retreat! It appears that we are both teaching at Benicia! Yay!
