Midland, Texas, United States
My name rhymes with "Lisa," I live in Midland, Texas, because it's warm and the mortgage is cheap, and of course this is my natural hair color. Of course! The EGE--The Ever-Gorgeous Earl--is my husband of 35 years. I have the best job in the world because I get to call up artists and ask them nosy questions and then write about them. I also stitch, podcast, blog, and then, in my spare time, do it all some more.

Podcast with Daniella Woolf

I interviewed Daniella years ago for a profile in Somerset Studio, and I got on her mailing list. A couple weeks ago she sent out a little video she made about the inspiration for her current series, and I was hooked: we had to do a podcast. Here's the video so you can see why:
Totally cool, right?
"Wall of Paper Bags in Korean Tea Shop"
"Wall of Boats installed currently at Santa Cruz County Bank Show called REPEAT"
"Me and Rusty “Encausticated” Boats PVAC Gallery last month"
So here's the podcast--you're going to love this one--

You can go here to pre-order her brand-new book, The Encaustic Studio, and you can go here, to her website, to see more of her work. Wander around--there's a lot to see. You can click the images to scroll sideways on the pages to see more--I tell you that because at first I didn't know and thought, "Gee, there's not much to see." Duh. I'm sure y'all would have figured it out on your own, but it makes me feel helpful~~

Thanks, Daniella--this was really fun!
