My name rhymes with "Lisa," I live in Midland, Texas, because it's warm and the mortgage is cheap, and of course this is my natural hair color. Of course! The EGE--The Ever-Gorgeous Earl--is my husband of 35 years. I have the best job in the world: I call up artists and ask them a bunch of nosy questions and then write about them. Or podcast them, if we're going to let "podcast" be a transitive verb. I write, I blog, I podcast, I stitch. In my spare time, I do it all some more.

Another Energetic & Wide-Ranging Conversation with The Fabulous Jill Berry

I am so lucky. I get to call up people--fabulous people, creative people, intelligent, thoughtful people--and ask them questions about just about anything. And they talk to me! How awesome is that? It really is more awesome than you think because if it didn't work that way, I'd be that annoying person in line behind you at the grocery store asking stuff like, "So what's up with the Slim Jims? Are you really going to eat that stuff? Where'd you get your coat? Is that pleather? I like that shade of puce; it's really becoming on you. Oh, you like broccoli, too! Do you like yours raw or al dente?"

Whoa. For a minute there I started to channel My Cousin Vinny.

Luckily for all of us, I don't have to do that. I have an outlet for my natural nosiness curiosity, wonderful people who indulge me and my questions. Jill is one of my favorites, and we always have a great time. In this conversation we talk about what Jill's doing right now, now that she's kind of laid up with a knee injury after falling over her dog. Which makes you want to moan in sympathy and also kind of giggle at the mental image, which is apparently exactly what her dog did: she swears he laughed just a tiny bit.

You can see Jill's work here and read her blog here, and you can click on the cute little player below to listen to us entertain each other--and, we hope, you, too~~

I can't believe no one, or very few, leave comments for these wonderful pod casts. I love hearing what other artists are doing, what inspires them, what tricks of the trade they can pass on.

Hope you keep them coming in 2013. :=D

Sharon, I certainly listen and enjoy Rice's podcasts. I seldom leave comments because I don't listen to the podcasts on the computer but later on my iPod. I also love hearing what other artists are doing.
